Services

Affordable flight-finding services are available to anyone, with an emphasis on students, recent graduates, Americans embarking on their first time abroad, underrepresented minorities and individuals/families who would otherwise have difficulty affording travel. Installment payment options are available. Custom packages (i.e. finding a flight + hotel only) are also available by request. For anyone who would like to discuss the flight options I find and/or go through the booking process together, a video consultation is available at no additional charge.

Please note that all services involve finding rather than booking specific flights (with direct booking links provided when available), and that responsibility and liability for travel arrangements ultimately lie with the client.  Availability and prices for flights are also subject to change at any given moment, which is why I recommend booking as soon as a suitable flight is received.

I am able to find affordable international flights. While I am most skilled in finding flights from the U.S., I welcome requests from those in other countries as well. Examples of international flights I have found include $69 one-way East Coast flights to Brussels, $69 one-way East Coast flights to Iceland, $210 round-trip West Coast flights to New Zealand, and EUR 109 round-trip flights from Geneva to New York.

The cheapest international fares will be found on budget airlines, which can be reliable but often not include baggage. If you prefer not to fly with a budget airline, or require that baggage be included, please specify this when you submit a request.

Especially within the U.S., standard domestic flights can be incredibly pricey as well! There is certainly plenty that can also be learned from exploring more of one’s own country. Examples of flights I’ve found include $40 one-way from DC to Ft. Myers, $99 round-trip (non-budget) from DC to San Diego, and $88 round-trip from DC to Las Vegas.

For individuals and families who have not yet traveled abroad, cost is likely not the only obstacle. Passport requirements, exchange rates, hotel bookings, language/cultural customs, and itinerary planning can be daunting factors as well. As helping Americans to experience other cultures for the first time lies at the core of my motivation, I am pleased to offer additional services to American individuals/families traveling abroad for the first time if they have found this travel to be previously inaccessible. A #FirstTimeAbroad package includes:

  • Finding affordable flights based on your criteria (booked by you)
  • Finding affordable hotels based on your travel plans (booked by you)
  • Finding an affordable rental car (booked by you)
  • Sending a guide on obtaining passports and answering questions if needed
  • A 1-2 page document with a brief overview of the city/transit system (if applicable) and recommended attractions
  • A one-page language sheet with basic phrases, as well as general tips

For custom or add-on services, such as creating itineraries or additional coaching on the travel process, please contact me and we can design a custom package that fits your needs.

To share the impact of a first experience abroad and promote the initiative, #FirstTimeAbroad recipients are also requested to do the following:
