Recently I’ve received inquiries on how to find cheap flights, so I’d like to begin sharing more tips & tricks here! If you’re looking for a great weekend flight deal to anywhere, this post is for you!

1. Skyscanner to Everywhere

Skyscanner may not always find the cheapest price, but finding the cheapest deal to “Everywhere” is where this platform really shines! For years it has specialized in generating a list of the cheapest flight destinations based on your travel dates (or flexible dates):

You can also choose specific dates, dates within a given month (click “Whole Month” -> select), or for the craziest deals – “Cheapest Month”! Oftentimes the cheapest month is in October/the fall. You’ll get a handy list sorted by price – a fantastic way to find a trip when budget is the main consideration!

2. Momondo to Anywhere

Momondo has been my personal favorite platform for finding flights since 2016! It aggregates many third party booking sites and often find the cheapest price. Recently they’ve also debuted more flexible search options to help you find the cheapest getaway!

With Momondo, I like that you can specify the duration of your trip. You can also specify “Any time, any duration” for the best deals. It’s also fun that the results can display in map form!

A final tip that you can also give an entire continent as a destination, i.e. NYC to Europe!

3. Explore Destinations on Google Flights!

I find this tool a slightly less intuitive, but Google Flights also has a map-based interface for exploring flexible flight deals. They often give good prices, with many booked directly through the airline.

You’ll first want to navigate to Google Flights Explore. This is tool allows you to easily click “Weekend” for your dates, although you’re unable to select “cheapest month” and can only plan 6 months out. Although you can’t search for a flight to anywhere, you can still search by continent to broaden your options.

A fun and unique feature here is that you can also filter by interests like “Outdoors” or “Beaches”!

Bonus Tips: The greater the flexibility in location and dates, the better the deal! If you’re still looking to shave off that flight price, many of the search engines above (i.e. Google Flights) allow you to select a 2-night trip or “weekend trip” for an extended range of dates.

Finally, if you find a flight on another tool, I recommend searching for that exact flight on either Momondo or Skiplagged to ensure you get the best price.

Happy hunting! If my post helped you find a deal, or if there’s specific tips you’re hoping to learn, I’d love to hear about it!
